How to use Lie and Lay in a sentence

Lie और Lay यह दोनों verb हैं 

इन दोनों के बीच का फर्क और sentence में कैसे युज़ की जाती हैं इस बात को हम विस्तार से जानेंगे 

आइए तो सबसे पहले हम Lie को समझते हैं।

> Lie =  झूठ बोलना { jhoot bolna }

1st form : Lie 

2nd form : Lied 

3rd form : Lied 

4th / Present participle form : Lying

Examples : 

आप झूठ बोलते हैं ।      ( Present Indefinite

You lie.

आपने झूठ बोला।        ( Past Indefinite ) 

You lied.

आपने झूठ बोला था।       ( Past perfect )

You had lied.

आप झूठ बोल रहे हो।      ( Present continuous)

You are lying.

> Lie = लेटना, लेटाना { to be in a horizontal position } 

1st form : Lie 

2nd form : Lay 

3rd form : Lain 

4th / present participle form : Lying

आप फर्श पर लेटते हो।              ( Pre. Ind. )

You lie on the floor.

आप फर्श पर लेटे।                       ( Past ind. )

You lay on the floor.

आप फर्श पर लेटे थे।                     ( Past perf. ) 

You had lain on the floor

आप फर्श पर लेटे हुए थे।                 ( Past cont. )

You were lying on the floor.

आप देख रहे हैं कि जब Lie का मतलब झूठ बोलना होता है तो Lie की तीनों फॉर्म बदल जाती हैं  Lie , Lied, Lied और Lying 

और जब Lie का मतलब लेटना, लेटाना होता है इस केस में भी Lie की तीनों फॉर्म change हो जाती हैं  Lie, Lay, Lain, Lying 

इस बात का आपको ध्यान रखना है। 

अब हम बात करते हैं "Lay " की 

> Lay = रखना { to keep, to put }

1st form : Lay

2nd form : Laid 

3rd form : Laid 

4th / present participle form : Laying 

आप शर्त रखते हो।

You lay the condition

आपने शर्त रखी।

You laid the condition

आपने शर्त रखी थी।

You had laid the condition

आप शर्त रख रहे हो।

You are laying the condition
